BRADLEY PRATT Editor & Videographer

CLIent:

COUNTY OF KAUAʻI

TIMELINE:

SAME DAY

PURPOSE

The video was created to recognize and thank the firefighters, county officials, and community members who worked tirelessly to contain the wildfires. It served as both a record of the county’s emergency response and a tribute to the strength of Kauaʻi’s people during a time of crisis.

PRODUCT

A 1-minute social media reel highlighting the wildfire response, released by the County of Kauaʻi. The piece emphasized resilience, gratitude, and the coordinated efforts that brought the fires under control.

PROCESS

At the close of my 2024 summer internship, I was dispatched as the Media Specialist to document the County of Kauaʻi’s response to the historic wildfires. I captured on-the-ground footage of the fires themselves, behind-the-scenes coverage inside the Kauaʻi Emergency Management Agency (KEMA) center, and moments such as the Lieutenant Governor’s visit. My role involved both documenting the crisis and shaping a message of resilience through a same-week edit.
