TIMELINE:

1 YEAR

PURPOSE

These videos were designed to highlight the Mayor’s key initiatives and accomplishments from the year prior, presenting them clearly and compellingly for the Kauaʻi Chamber of Commerce audience. They served as an annual reflection of progress and priorities, while reinforcing the Mayor’s message to the community.

PRODUCT

Two principal luncheon videos: a 1:45 feature in Summer 2023 and a 3:00 feature in Summer 2024. Both were played at the Mayor’s Chamber Luncheon, an annual event hosted by the Chamber of Kauaʻi with over 500 attendees.

PROCESS

I produced the Mayor’s Chamber Luncheon videos in both Summer 2023 and Summer 2024, which were principal projects of my internship with the County of Kauaʻi Mayor’s Office. Each year, Mayor Derek Kawakami directed the creative vision, and I executed the edit to bring his objectives to life. The 2024 video used a voiceover-driven narrative and incorporated a wide range of footage I had captured both for this project and from other initiatives during my internship. The 2023 version followed a more concise structure, blending visuals and narrative pacing into a shorter format.
