Eli Smart Music Video was a two-day shoot for Kauai’s own artist, worked together with Director Dan Mindel and Elliot Lucas. Completed as a High School Junior.

PURPOSE
The video was created to capture Eli Smart’s unique style and sound while bringing a localized, authentic aesthetic to his music. It was also an opportunity to collaborate with an experienced professional crew and gain hands-on experience in a high-level music video environment.
PRODUCT
A 4-minute music video for Every Flavor, shot on a RED V-Raptor camera system. The shooting was managed on-island, while post-production was handled by an offsite production company.
PROCESS
I worked as a Production Assistant on the music video for Kauaʻi artist Eli Smart’s song Every Flavor. My responsibilities included switching lenses, managing audio, pulling focus, assisting with set needs, and operating the main camera for select scenes. The shoot took place at Kauaʻi Community Radio, where we built a small radioshack-inspired set. Despite battling rain and tough elements, the production team brought the vision to life. I supported Elliot Lucas, the main camera operator, and worked under director Dan Midell, who has credits on major productions such as Star Wars.
