TIMELINE:

PURPOSE

To reflect on my personal journey through high school and the role videography played in shaping my identity, while honoring Island School’s tradition of senior speeches by telling my story through film instead of a live address.

PRODUCT

A 3-minute cinematic short film that blended narration, natural sound, and visuals from Kauaʻi to communicate growth, gratitude, and creative direction, which was screened in front of the full graduating class, faculty, families, and community during the Island School graduation ceremony.

PROCESS

Concepted, shot, and edited the film independently, translating a written graduation speech into a visual narrative, capturing imagery across campus and around Kauaʻi, recording a personal voiceover, and crafting a cohesive edit that balanced storytelling, pacing, and emotional impact for a live audience setting.
